Erica + Mitch // Winter Engagement

My heart. Erica is my neighbor out here in the country land of Nebraska. I met her when she was a teenager. Young marriage is something that is close to my heart. There is something very special about "growing up" together. Making mistakes and learning through them, together. Staying up late in the night because... college... together. My husband and I were engaged at the age of these two as well. Needless to say, we have something very special in common. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did creating them with Erica and Mitch. -xo-

Ana + Kevin // Vineyard Engagement

Woah. I mean... these two not only have a whole lot of chemistry going on, but they also shocked me with some news a few weeks before this shoot. Ana and Kevin's story is so special to me. This couple booked me in the summer time for their wedding the following year in the fall. A few weeks later Ana emailed me and asked if I was available last minute for a shoot. I wasn't, unfortunately. I had been completely booked up for the year. But I had to ask why...? We already had their engagement session on the calendar for next month. Well, turns out they were going to get married early! Like next week.

Caitlin + Jason // Old Market Summer Engagement

I met with Caitlin before I was able to meet Jason. Herself, mom and sister met with me at Starbucks to book her wedding for next Spring. Jason unfortunately wasn't able to make it to the coffee date. First thing that I notice about Jason as he gets out of their car when they pull up for the session is his GIANT Redbull can. Giant. He comes over giggling and you can tell by the look on Caitlin's face that she is used to her goofy man. I think it was pretty much impossible to get Jason to have a serious face, and of course Caitlin shined. These two were very fun to photograph, even though it was 90 degrees with humidity out here in Nebraska. I'm so thrilled to share their engagement pictures with you! Thank you Caitlin and Jason for making me laugh. You are a joy. :)

Hunter + Brittni | FORT COLLINS, CO

Brittni is one of those brides that need to give advice to all brides to be. She was the most laid back, happiest brides around. All that mattered to her on this day was that she was marrying Hunter. She shined. They shined. It was a beautiful day near the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. They made their covenant in front of family and friends at The Preserve at Bingham Hill, a lovely venue right outside the limits of Fort Collins.

Courtney + Kyle | VINTAGE COUNTRY WEDDING

June in Nebraska is a beautiful time of year. Everything is green and alive after a long winter. Courtney and Kyle couldn't have picked a better wedding date to get married. The wedding was held at the pumpkin patch that her parent's own outside small town Nebraska. Her dad built the stage off the side of the barn, just for the wedding. How cool is that? Their big day consisted of laughter, balloons, pastels and love. See for yourself...

Jill + Joel // Malibu Engagement

I had a blast with these two!! We first pulled into Malibu Creek State Park for this Engagement session, and it was BREATHTAKING. Such a beautiful view in every direction. The hills, trees, mountains and sky- it was all working out for us. We finished the session on the beach, Zuma beach. It was a warm and peaceful evening. We couldn't have had a better night. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in June. LOVELY. Check out some highlighted images from the night... :)

Chloe + Justin | SUPER FUN WEDDING

Is it silly that I titled this post "Super Fun Wedding"? I like to think it fits exactly how their wedding day was. Super (duper) fun. Chloe was a friend of mine in High School. We graduated together and went our separate ways to college. When we touched base about wedding photography, I was so honored and excited to be her photographer. She is fun, spontaneous and hilarious -obviously my ideal bride. ;) In all seriousness, Chloe and Justin's love shined, inspired others and most of all spoke LOVE. They were glowing with affection and it was awesome. I think you'll know what I mean, as you see their wedding story in these images.
