Read MoreThese two are incredible. Sydney and Tom met in Med school and are both going to be doctors. Their love is so bright and beautiful. We ventured around Tom's family's property and had a great time while doing it. We went from the barn to the pond back up to shoot with the rolling hills in the distance. Nebraska was showing off on this warm evening.
Read MoreDear Lovely Bride-to-Be, Let's chat about engagement sessions. Yippee! One of the very first steps after hiring your wedding photographer is shooting the engagement session. This is an awesome time to bond and get comfortable in front of the camera.
Read MoreThese two have a unique story. Shortly after booking with me last year, they decided to elope! When we went on their engagement shoot, they were already married. By the time their original "big day" came around they'd already been married for a whole year! None-the-less this day was perfect. I believe they were even closer and it was even more special because they'd known each other as husband and wife already. Ana's family flew in from California and it was a giant celebration of their commitment to one another!
Read MoreHappy Tuesday! Today we are chatting about your "must have". I'm talking about the ONE thing you can't go cheap on. What is your must have? What do you NEED to walk away with after your wedding is over that you are happy you spent money on?
Read MoreThis summer I was hitting a wall. I'd like to think of it as writer's block... except for photography. I think every creative goes through this at some point when doing an art full time. With weddings, I don't always get the opportunity to share creativity. The day is organized and planned out and that leaves me with 20 minutes with the bride and groom, typically, to be creative. So I had to go out and do something for myself. An itch that definitely needed to be scratched. Feel me? A friend that I had met about five years back is just getting into modeling. She was wanting to shoot with me and I her, so at 1pm in the afternoon we did exactly that! No golden hour, gorgeous sun, but it was definitely challenging and pushed me to be better.

Read MoreI've known Faith since she was a little girl. She invited me to her hannah montana birthday parties, I "nannied" her one summer. We've had deep chats about serious things in life. It's easy to get emotional when realizing she is starting her life to find her place in the world. It is kind of like watching your little sister grow up. Although we aren't related, her family is one I would consider my own. They have been there for us, listened to us and invited us to their own family events. I really hold this girl dear to my heart, and pray over her as she starts this new adventure in life. While you'll notice right away she is exquisitely beautiful, you have to know her sweet and fun personality is above and beyond. She is hilarious and so incredibly beautiful on the inside. Meet Faith, everybody!
Read MoreDear Bride, What's with the hour long photo session after your ceremony? Grandpa, aunts, cousins, 2nd cousins, everyone's extended family and the list goes on and on. It sometimes takes two hours just to get these perfectly posed images. Leaving you with sore cheeks and a somewhat exhausted spirit.
Read MoreKelsey and I are pretty much kindred spirits. These two are super fun and they were up for wandering our county lines and making some magic. We began our session in a field of weeds (I like to think of it as a field of beautiful flowers, but to each his own) and ended it at sunset over rolling Nebraska hills.

Read MoreHey all! :) I have to say that I'm a coffee lover. Typically I go to Starbucks because I know that what I order will usually always taste the same. I wish I could say I try out new cool little coffee shops each week, but to be honest I'm a stay at home mom. No one seems to love when I bring my littles in with me... it's just not the right atmosphere. However, when I get to meet with potential brides, we always choose a fun coffee shop and get a little something yummy to sip on while chatting about ...

Not only are they both incredibly smart, they are so incredibly sweet! The family and friends they had to support them and love on them was unreal. I am still so honored and blessed that they trusted me to tell their story. Thank you Blake and Lindsay! I will forever treasure your special day in my heart.
