Dear Bride, You are planning your wedding. The biggest day of your life. Every detail is seen, the expenses are paid and there are crucial decisions on who you hire to help you celebrate and pull everything together. Nothing about this day is cheap. From floral design, centerpieces, makeup, accessories, transportation, venue and the list goes on, you have poured your heart and soul (and cash) into it. This is the day you celebrate two becoming one. This is the beginning adventure of your life story as Mr. & Mrs.
These two are incredible. Sydney and Tom met in Med school and are both going to be doctors. Their love is so bright and beautiful. We ventured around Tom's family's property and had a great time while doing it. We went from the barn to the pond back up to shoot with the rolling hills in the distance. Nebraska was showing off on this warm evening.
Dear Lovely Bride-to-Be, Let's chat about engagement sessions. Yippee! One of the very first steps after hiring your wedding photographer is shooting the engagement session. This is an awesome time to bond and get comfortable in front of the camera.
These two have a unique story. Shortly after booking with me last year, they decided to elope! When we went on their engagement shoot, they were already married. By the time their original "big day" came around they'd already been married for a whole year! None-the-less this day was perfect. I believe they were even closer and it was even more special because they'd known each other as husband and wife already. Ana's family flew in from California and it was a giant celebration of their commitment to one another!
Happy Tuesday! Today we are chatting about your "must have". I'm talking about the ONE thing you can't go cheap on. What is your must have? What do you NEED to walk away with after your wedding is over that you are happy you spent money on?
Dear Bride, What's with the hour long photo session after your ceremony? Grandpa, aunts, cousins, 2nd cousins, everyone's extended family and the list goes on and on. It sometimes takes two hours just to get these perfectly posed images. Leaving you with sore cheeks and a somewhat exhausted spirit.
Kelsey and I are pretty much kindred spirits. These two are super fun and they were up for wandering our county lines and making some magic. We began our session in a field of weeds (I like to think of it as a field of beautiful flowers, but to each his own) and ended it at sunset over rolling Nebraska hills.
I've heard it said many times. Blog posts like... "Ten Reasons Why a Reveal is a 'Must Have'" & "5 REASONS TO SEE THE BRIDE BEFORE THE CEREMONY" & ECT!
These guys had a lot on their plate leading all the way up to their wedding day. Blake had just become Dr. Helget! They both are leaving for residency this year. Not only are they both incredibly smart, they are so incredibly sweet! The family and friends they had to support them and love on them was unreal. I am still so honored and blessed that they trusted me to tell their story. Thank you Blake and Lindsay! I will forever treasure your special day in my heart.
What can I say about these two? They are easy going and FUN! We had a good time celebrating their commitment to one another. I love these guys. And their awesome families. It was fun getting to know every one and celebrating together! They were married in a contemporary church, Lincoln Berean Church, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their reception was at the Havelock Social Hall, in Lincoln as well.Take a look at Candace's ring too. Wowza. Just gorgeous!
These two inspire me. The love they have for Christ shines. As they both were getting ready, I could tell how excited they were for the day. Desiree was calm and seemed so happy. Jesse was goofing around and quite honestly was hilarious. When Des walked down the aisle, I had my eye on Jesse. As his eyes filled up with tears of joy, I started crying too. It was hard not to! Worship began and I was just in awe of the Spirit. This day was truly incredible. The commitment they made that day between each other and God in front of their closest friends and family was not only incredibly beautiful, but inspiring. I hope that while looking through these images, you are encouraged and uplifted by their love.
As most of you know, from looking around my blog/website, I live in Nebraska but travel often for shoots and weddings. I prefer it that way, as I am not the type to settle down and sit still.
