"We were sitting on the couch one night talking about our vision for the big day when we realized what we both wanted was an intimate ceremony with a simple reflection of who we are. We had more than half of our original big day planned. It wasn’t about the lost deposits, our inability to please everyone, or anything else. We wanted our focus on the vows and the commitment we were about to make to our marriage. We were so ready to be married already! My dad walked me down the aisle, we wrote and said our own vows, we ate doughnuts, popped champagne and took some amazing pictures!! I have no regrets about following our wishes. Our elopement was the best day ever, and was 100 % the vision we had on the couch and it came to life in less than a week. After our elopement we booked an epic honeymoon and left for paradise the next day.
